Cod Fish Fritter (Bacalaitos)

½ lb Salted Cod Fish

1 ½ cup wheat flour

2 ½ cups of water

1 1tsp Baking Powder

1 tbsp Ground Garlic

1 tbsp Fresh Cilantro (chopped)

¼ tsp Sazon

½ tsp Onion Powder

Rinse out the cod fish in water. Taking off all the salt . Once rinsed well . Get your

pot fill up with 2 ½ cups water and turn on the stove to medium high. Place your

cod fish in and leave cooking for about 30- 40 mins. Once done take a bowl add all

your ingredients flour ,baking powder,garlic, cilantro ,sazon,onion powder. Take

out 1 ½ cups of the water in which the fish was boiling in and add to your dry mix.

Now start to really stir everything in with a whisk. Drain the Cod fish of remaining

water. Add the fish now into the batter in small chunks. Now take a large

saucepan add ¼ cup of canola oil let it heat up for a couple minutes then add a

large cooking spoon of the batter frying each side till golden color. And Weepa

your done. Its just that easy . Buen Provecho
